thyssenkrupp is currently undergoing a comprehensive process of change. The Group Executive Board’s clear strategic objective is to gradually spin off all business divisions whilst retaining majority stakes. After the successful IPO of thyssenkrupp Marine Systems (now TKMS GmbH) in 2025, it is our turn this year. The new branding launched on 10 June 2026 is therefore a strong statement that our Materials Services segment aims to reposition itself on the capital market through an IPO and become independent.

For us, this step means new possibilities and a multitude of opportunities. We are increasing our strategic flexibility and will be able to invest our financial resources to a greater extent in growth projects in future, in order to expand our product and service portfolio in line with our customers’ needs. As one of the leading global materials traders and service providers, we will consistently expand our business position and remain by your side also in future.

Most important for you: apart from the introduction of the new brand tk accelis and the use of new email addresses (existing/old addresses will be redirected), nothing will change for you as a customer. The structure of our business, individual responsibilities and your usual points of contact will remain the same. We will inform you in good time of any changes relating to the company name etc. associated with the planned IPO.
